Chicks wont be here today :(

 I called Ideal and they said there was a problem on their end and they shipped them out i think today or yesterday, uhgg i so wanted them today. the waiting is awful.....will keep you posted

We got the brooder down and checked the heating lamp to make sure it got to 95, hubby did a great job. It was our old dog kennel and all we did was attach animal screen with wire ties and then cut a cardboard box and there you have it......

New to Chickens

It is Monday May 17, 2010 and I am waiting for my baby chicks to arrive on Wednesday May 19, 2010. I am sooo excited about my new adventure. I have ordered 15 Barred Plymouth Rocks (females) and 6 Silkies (2-Black,2-Blue,2-Buff). We are building our chicken coup This weekend as they will not need it for awhile but I am going to get 5 BR already laying on Sunday so need a coop.
I will be posting my adventure, pictures and stories. So glad you want to come along for the ride.
